Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Simple CV (the "Service"), operated by Realm Fusion ("Realm Fusion", "we", "us"), based in the Netherlands. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Simple CV is a resume and cover-letter builder available on the web and as an iOS app. It lets you create, edit, store, preview, and export documents from a library of templates, with optional AI assistance and, where available, a job tracker.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity under your account. Authentication is provided through Google Firebase and the sign-in options we offer.

Your content

You keep all rights to the content you add to your documents ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you, including generating previews, PDFs, and any AI results you request. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to use it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully or for any unlawful content;
• upload content that infringes the rights of others;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• scrape, overload, or abuse the Service or its AI features;
• resell or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.

AI features

AI features are provided to assist you and are offered "as is". AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing it and deciding whether to use it. The Service does not guarantee any particular result, job, or interview.

Subscriptions and payments

The Service offers free features and may offer paid subscriptions. Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple under its terms. Web subscriptions, where available, are billed through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date; you can manage or cancel them in your account or app-store settings. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights, including the EU 14-day right of withdrawal where it applies, remain available to you.

Communications

By creating an account, you agree that we may contact you by email. This includes service messages we need to send, for example about security, your account, billing, or important changes to the Service, which you cannot opt out of while you hold an account. It also includes product and marketing emails, such as new features, updates, tips, and offers related to the Service. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us, and we will stop sending them. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect the service messages described above.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its templates, design, and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you beyond using the Service as intended.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or where necessary to protect the Service and its users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
